    Really? Based on stats, I think this guy calls a lot of crap we dominate to our 3bet, while he likely 4bet shoves QQ+ and flats AK. Seems like a perfect 3bet spot to me.

    because you are expecting to be called almost all of the time yet don't have a plan for what to do on flops containing an overcard to your pair. Also, his ep range is going to be a lot stronger than you seem to be giving him credit for (say 77+/AQ+?) and none of it is folding.

    The 3b is fine if you have already decided what you're doing on various flop textures, but not if you're just 3-betting for the sake of 3-betting JJ cos that's what you're "supposed" to do

    Hadn't really thought of it like that. Good points. Really need to work on that "thinking ahead" aspect of my game.
