    $5.50 mtt $7.5k guar
    Entrants 1500+
    11 left
    Blinds 5/10k
My stack 400K (average around 330k)
    OngBonga is dealt KQo utg
    OngBonga raises to 250,000

    erm

    wft?

Shit I meant to raise to 25,000

Guy to my left, chip leader with 1.1m, shoves.

Now, first off, can I fold? I'd be left with 150k, or 15bb, enough to switch to shove/fold. But, more to the point, there's now 650,000 in the pot I can win and I only have to call 150,000. Obviously I'm dominated, but the pot odds are incredible thanks to my monumental fuck up.
Reads on this guy, obviously this deep we've got rid of the fish, but he's one of the wilder people on the table. I can't remember exactly what he was running at, something like 25/15, but whatever, I'm pretty sure he can do this with JJ, so it's a range of JJ+ AK. I didn't stove it then, but I guessed (correctly) that against that range I'm around 25% equity and therefore I have correct pot odds, and reluctantly make the call. He has AK and I bust out.

Second, and more importantly, I need to not make this fuck up ever ever again. It was fucking brutal, honestly, I won $84 for my 11th place finish, 7th was something like £350, 1st $1500. It's the sickest thing that's happened to me in poker. I've made overraises before by putting an extra '0' in, but I got folds and sighed with relief, and not this deep into a mtt.

Is there any software that allows me to use hotkeys to raise? For example, if I want to raise 2.5x the blind, I just press 2, or F2, or whatever, instead of typing the numbers out? I think I need to look seriously into it...

And someone make me feel better by telling me a story about how they lost thousands with a more dumbarse cock up than this.

You have my sympathies. I have nearly hit the 'max' button when aiming to put in a typed-out raise a few times but so far managed to catch myself in time.

Cheers for the comments guys. Will look into these suggestions. It was a strange day yesterday, this mistake of mine occured at 5am, I was tired and had even joked about sitting out, wondering how long I would last, so I could go to bed. I'm in no doubt this played a huge part, but it's inevitable because anyone who's this deep is likely to be tired, there was a guy from NZ where it was 5pm, he was struggling too! Then when I got up I discovered the dog had escaped, and for two hours I thought he was lost in the river. That kind of put this crappy poker game into perspective, by the time I found my dog I couldn't give a toss about this hand. It helped to be reminded that there's much more important things than poker and bankrolls, and for sure I can move on quickly from this and not allow it to make me think that God just fucking hates me and doesn't want me to succeed, which is what I was thinking as I tried to sleep!
Potentially this mistake cost me a large amount of money, but at the same time I could've gone bust next hand. I'll never know, but I still won $84 and my bankroll is still now at a peak. And let's not forget I made the final two tables in a decent mtt. There's positives to be taken, but I'm determined to learn from this mistake.
If it costs a little money to buy a hotkey programme, I think it will be a wise investment, though naturally I'll check out the free ones first.
    Cheers.

Dont raise kq off UTG Solution 1
    Get Table Ninja solution 2

Really? 6handed, don't raise KQ utg? Ok, let's have a discussion about that. Now, let's just be clear about something, I'm not one of these "OMFG KQ ARARARRALLLLLIIIINNNN" idiots, I realise it's a marginal hand, but let's not forget we're six handed here. It's ironic, in another thread somewhere, around a week ago, I said somewhere how much I suck at 6max, probably because I'm too tight. This tourney, I relaxed, loosened up a bit, and raised a lot more hands, the kind of hands that I'd fold utg 9handed. Now if I got to final two tables with a larger than average stack, I must have been doing something right.

So, we're 6max and we're dealt KQo utg... what do you do? Let's go through the options...

Fold... I would say this is too tight for 6max, have fun blinding out or shoving your short stack.

Call... I would say this is too passive for 6max, what do we do if it's raised after us? Call? Fold? I'm not gonna make it to final two tables by limp/calling marginal hands.

Raise... Pretty much how we should enter any pot 6max where we're first to enter.

Anyone else think I shouldn't be raising KQo utg 6max?

Solution 2 sounds a little more likely...

KQo is fine UTG 6 handed unless some decently skilled player with position on you is going to make your life a living hell postflop.
Playing live . . . thanks alot Bin Laden.

Obviously, I think we can consider the entire table as skilled, and everyone bar the blinds will have post flop position on me, but at the same time, most pots at this stage of the game are raise-and-takes, with the occasional 3bet and sometimes even a flop. I think I'm within my rights to attempt to steal with KQo, if I get a call then we assign a range and see a flop. A 3bet is obviously being folded to if I only raise to 2.5bb, as opposed 25bb!

9handed I muck KQo UTG pretty quickly, but not so fast 6max. I made a few adjustments to my normal 9handed strategy, and it seemed to reap rewards. I'm not kicking myself at all for raising this spot, it's just the size of the raise I have issues with.

I'm running TableNinja at the moment, does anyone know how to get rid of that really annoying red border?

Overall I like the programme, although a quick keystroke to go all in makes it that little bit more tempting! I got my raise sizes at 2.5bb, 2.5+1 p/limp, 3+1 and pi+golden ratio p/limp, just to be a twat.

Table control then in the box on the right where it says frames click the box [] disable frames. This should do it. If you multi table though this is a pretty good feature as it will let you know which tables need attention etc.

Thanks Harley, that worked, missed that when configuring. I might reactivate it when m-tabling, but lately I've been playing just one table. I think I'll get used to my hotkeys for now.
