Poker Dictionary




When your hole cards are inferior to villian's cards and you share a common card you are dominated.
AQ is dominated by AK, KT is dominated by KJ, KQ, AK

The term is also used to describe a case when opponent has overpair to your two cards, for example JJ vs 98

Example: I was getting 2:1 but I was pretty sure my AJ is dominated so I folded
