Hey guys. Since M2M is taking micro/low stakes guys for FR coaching right now, I thought I'd make a parallel thread doing the same for 6-max.
A Bit About Me
Most of you probably know a bit about me and have seen me posting a bunch on the forums over the past few years. My name is Pete, and I'm a Philosophy and Language student from Scotland. I'm a 6 max specialist who has basically never played FR, always devoted my time to 6 max. I've beaten games up to 100NL for what would commonly be considered good winrates. I have been coaching now since around May and have taken on quite a few students since then and gained a load of experience in teaching. Some of these guys are regs on FTR and can vouch for me if need be. I am also a video producer at Grinderschool.com - Low Stakes Poker Strategy Videos, where you can check out my videos if you want a flavour of my teaching style.
I'm looking to take on students playing anywhere from 2NL to 100NL 6 max.

Forms Lessons Can Take
Sessions may take many forms depending onwhat both you and I think will be benificial to your development.
Leak Finder - This is you record a shortish video of you playing a session at yournormal stakes. i will watch this and take notes in my own time before we go over it together in the session you pay for. These are very benificial for one of the first sessions as they allow me an insight into your game where I can immediately spot certain leaks and areas for improvment.
Instructive Session - I will record a short session of me playing a stake of your choice. This can be your current stake, one you're about to move up to for the first time or my own regualr stake to show you how higher games play and the deeper thought process required to succeed as you move up.
Instructive HH review - I will select a bunch of what I feel are highly instrcutive hands and together we will go over them and improve your understanding of why a certian line is good or bad and what factors we should be considering in our analysis.
Quiz Session - I send you a bunch of questions, many of them just HHs a few days before our session. You work your way through them and wrtie down some stuff, then we go over it together during the coaching session. This is a new idea, but one I feel will be really useful.
Problem HH Review - Where you select a bunch of hands that you felt lost in or that perhaps you played badly and aren;t sure what you could have done to improve. We will go over these in depth and find the right thought process to generate the most accurate line of play.
Instructvie Sweat - Where I play a stake of your choice live and quickly but descriptively explain everything I am consdiering in making each decision. Good for demonstrating how your ingame thought process should work.
A Rough Lesson Plan
Session 1: Leak finder video. A 20-30 min vid of the student playing their usual game, 4 tables tiled, HUD visible. During this sessionwe go over spots plug leaks and set youa bunch of goals to work on in order to improve your play. I base these on your play in the leak finder and your understanding of concepts, thought process that I get from you during the session.
Session 2: You sweating me playing a stake of your choice (within my rollz ldo) Iexplain thought process as it happens, you can pick my brain during down time we canstop earlier and review hands. This is negotiable and we can do something else if you don't fancy this.
Session 3: Quiz session. I send you the quiz a good bit before we do this so you'll have prepared answers and stuff. We go over the 10 questions together in detail. Again negotiable.
Session 4: Dunno yet, whatever you fancy of the types of session I offer, or suggest something new.
Session 5: Another leak finder where we watch your play, again get your thought process and see if you've achieved the goals set in lesson 1. Also, we set new goals provided they've been met sufficiently.

I usually offer sessions in blocks of 4 or more as this reduces the cost and makes coaching more worth while for the student.

I just wanna say that I recently had a sweat session with carroters and his logic behind all of his explanations was incredibly sound and was able to communicate very effectively. I would highly recommend him as a coach.

I like these 2 new threads. If I want FR coaching I'd go with M2M and for 6max Carroters for sure. Both have great rates too. A lot less expensive than other coaches at 2+2/video training sites. Both great players too.

I've only had one session so far with Pete, we did the leak finder and it was excellent - he spotted tons of small leaks I hadn't and wouldn't have noticed.
His graphs and stats show he clearly knows his stuff, and he was excellent at explaining ideas / concepts, which comes across in his forum posts too imo.
More lessons booked!

in fact I would imagine that carroters is probably twice as good as any other 6max coach who charges twice as much.

I wanted to throw in a vouch for Carrot.... I may have been one of the first people he ever coached if I remember correctly. We did three very educational sessions that helped me out alot. Unfortunitly, shortly after I hit a downswing (unrelated to coaching, lol) But now that I'm coming back to grinding I'll have to set something up with you Carrot to get my head back in the game.

The thread is barely allowed under the terms of FTR, but because both Carroters and M2M are recognized solid contributors to FTR they have been allowed. We (including me) have deleted and banned several coaching threads started by people we don't know. Sticking them may lead to more trouble than it's worth with people thinking this is an FTR run coaching program. These are between the OP's and anyone that wants to PM them on their own. If I was a micro/SSNL player that was looking for a quick boost to my skills I would take either one of them up on it first chance I could afford it. I only wish the good small/mid stakes players back in our day did this.

I always wonder how many people have taken advantage of coaching from Carroters. I know I have.
For the past three months, I've been really struggling with poker. I lost all confidence and was clicking buttons. My thought process at the table was God awful and I needed/wanted a quick fix. I decided to get coaching from Carroters who, as I saw, was doing very well at 100NL. I was at 50NL at the time so I figured Carroters would be able to help since that was the last stake he beat. We started coaching in the second week of November. Just the way he was able to throughly explain stuff was great. His Leak Finder session was awesome. My confidence pretty much skyrocketed after the first session as I KNEW Carroters was going to be able to help me get better. I started his coaching around hand 5,000 of this graph:
Please note that the three months before November were all losing months and shitty graphs.
I'm now settling into 100NL and still have more coaching to come. I'm excited for my game as I know that it'll just improve with the help of Carroters.
I'm never one to do stuff like this. Also, Carroters didn't ask me to do this. As a matter of fact, he has no clue I AM doing this (Carroters, I hope this is OK actually). I just wanted the BC to know that there's a top-notch coach right under your noses. Actually, there are two. If you're struggling with poker, I suggest going to Carroters/m2m for help. Yes, it costs money but consider it an investment in your game. Actually, it can be seen as a financial investment as well since they may help you become a winning player and win more moneys.
Get coaching guys.

yeah, great job man! this new year I'm hoping will prove to be my comeback. i haven't got much time in on the tables, but now that i have my computer up and running perfectly i really feel like it's time. Carrot, I hope you'll have some time in your schedule because I really want to get some more coaching in. I think it will be a great way back into the game.

Planning on switching to 6max and will be hitting you up for coaching in the near future.
2 questions-
1) My br is tiny right now (even for 4nl) so does it make the most sense to grind my role to like 25/30 buys before I even think about switching?
2) Should I keep playing fr, move up and beat 10nl, and then move beck down to make the switch.
