Stake

Stake can mean the buy-in level that you are playing at.

It can also be used to mean that you are sponsoring another player.

Example: Ex. for buy-in level. Player X plays at the micro-stakes. Ex. for "sponsoring" another player - I'm going to stake Player Y so he can play in the Main Event.
