A streak of negative variance in which you run below expectation. Can be described in terms of overall equity or just money earned. A downswing can be frustrating but is a part of the game that can not be avoided. Everyone eventually goes through down swings.
Example: Lacy was going through a huge downswing this month after missing the money in 50 straight tournaments
