    Why are you trying to get fancy at the micros? ABC poker is the best way to beat the lower levels. FPS will cause you to go broke, most times.

    My thinking has been it would be better to learn to mix up my game at the lower stakes rather than the higher stakes as I will lose much less when I invariably make mistakes trying new stuff.

    With more thinking and playing I'm beginning to realise that mixing it up at these stakes serves no useful purpose and just gets me into tricky spots.

    I think that you've mistaken what is meant by "mixing it up". I'm assuming that you're refering to 'adjusting and exploiting your opponents'. If that's what you're looking for then there's a good excercise for that in the BC digest. If I'm WAY off base then I appologize.
