Zombie thread

There will be spoilers for Walking Dead ITT because I'm splitting off from TV thread to discuss what a zombie apocalypse TV show should be about/have in it

Should probably always be one guy or a handful of guys are cream of the crop badasses who enter pure survivor-protector mode, then nearly all the emotional stuff comes from the people who are only alive because of them

Some to start, absolute musts are

- Shotguns, nobody who understand zombie stuff needs explanation on why

- A guy often decked in full plate armor and a broadsword or maybe a mace or warhammer. He marches into moderately small groups of zombies and smashes them in the most brutal and basic kind of battling imaginable. Maybe he was a Medieval hobbyist with some underground equipment or worked at a museum and jacked that shit after it hit the fan

- Silencers, silencers, silencers. Night vision, kevlar, fucking silencers. I don't care how the fuck a zombie apocalypse goes down, the people left alive will be mostly extremely resilient and will understand these things and know how to get them

- Most things are raw and unforgiving. Like when the blonde said she doesn't wanna live anymore, the leader of the bunch shoots her in the fucking mouth. Actually he doesn't do it like that. The leader is smart enough to know that the way to do it is to lead her out in the woods, make sure she wants what she said she does, then kills her, and the explanation upon returning to the camp is that she's not coming back. That sort of thing would actually work in zombie apocalypse

- Consistency on stuff like "don't get blood on you"

- A zombie show is ripe for flashback episodes. Like Lost, but way better. I wanna see what happened to each member of the clan in the beginning and how they coped/evolved. I wanna see how the guy decked in plate armor was a big fat nerd MMO LARPing dork who worked at a museum so he could look at swords all day, then when zombies hit he never knew all his Star Wars Kid-esque training was legit. I wanna see an ex-Navy Seal (preferably a mega bitchy chick who's badass at everything but nobody knows why because all she does is glare at them), hell there can even be an amateur boxer who never had the grits to make it big but now he lives for going toe to toe against a game zombie, clad in makeshift brass knuckles/hand protection material obviously
