I mean, I just don't understand how there hasn't been a lone ranger type character that has crossed paths (if only barely) with the main group in WD. First this lets you put a whole shitton of badassery into your show without having to budget for the bad ass and all his badassery every episode. Second it makes the world dynamic-- it makes it seem like the world actually exists outside of the scope of our main group. How are they just never running into other survivors? Why are there no antagonists aside form the zombies? You don't need villains in zombie fiction (Dawn of the Dead) but it probably would make the writers jobs a thousand times easier. How about roaming bandits like in The Road or Book of Eli (can't believe I'm mentioning those two movies in the same sentence..) Speaking of those movies, how about shooting your scenes at any time of the day except fucking noon? How about adding some filters so the world looks bleak? How about having an artistic vision, actually making an effort, etc?

First Season with limited cash. Second Season would hopefully rectify some of this, but unsure if they have money...
