I mean, aside from it basically saying "fuck the minority", your "few thousand" comment is wildly understated. Grimsby and Cleethorpes alone (both right next to each other and essentially the same urban area) has over 100k people. I can't be fucked to check the population of every coastal town, but we're easily talking millions across the country.

People moving to where the opportunities are seems like a reasonable idea to me.
