I don't see any reason this is necessary. I don't like the precedent, but as a one-off, I'm cool with it.

This is FTR, not some backpacker's hovel. We're an awesome group of people who are fun to be with. We accept outlandish behavior from time to time from all of our most loyal posters, because it has been shown time and again that we're way too cool for normal internet folk.
Normal internet folk leave are annoying and impersonal and can't handle the awesomeness.

Cool people stay on FTR 'cause we're da best around (Nubba nebba gon nugget me down).

If some new guy wants a favor, then that's cool. He earned it by playing nice with us in our fun game.

It is a favor, though, and not what I think we should be doing as far as game integrity goes.
