i dont think rascal's defense of his original "hey want me to make charts?" post is good enough. in a vacuum, his original post is wolfy and he can't explain it away.

your first sentence doesnt make sense to me. you are basically saying, "i asked because someone did something to someone else while saying charts were busy work." what do you exactly mean here?

But, I don't see the posts as being "free from the need to be careful". I see them more as holding back and posting for the sake of posting with the exception being his post about wuf in #203.

that is a possible FPS but also worth mentioning that the angel cant protect 2 nights in a row. so blocking nom tonight wouldnt be a necessarily very high EV because the angel would just die tomorrow

Okay that Gabe thing set me back. Since the beginning, I've been seeing it through the lens that he made a ridiculous claim then cleared himself for it. After he clarified I basically had to reset and reread again.

Aaaaaaaaaaand I got nothing. Maybe it's because I don't really care about d1s, maybe because I don't think anybody is acting abnormally, maybe it's because I'm not obsessed with this game like I used to be.

Sorry guys. Maybe if I have more time tomorrow, but I definitely won't. Being wacky about this game was fun while it lasted. I literally think everybody is a bad lynch. Which reverts me to the most standard policy lynch. BID hasn't showed up. He has forgotten about games before, not showing up for up to like ten days. Plus in the sign up thread he said he would be gone after the 6th. This means that he could be absent for most of the early game and/or he would be absent during the endgame, where it's imperative that nobody is absent.

I don't think I'm quite as high volume, but I'm rarely high volume in MM's because of my work schedule.

i have been very active and thus my attention has been on many things. it might seem sudden but i spent plenty of time thinking about it. also there is a very significant post count dichotomy in play here, its very hard for that to be random. and i think it would be hard for you to prove the wolfiness/lowpost count correlation has died out. look at the numbers. its such a crazy split that we should be able to say there are more wolves in the bottom half than the top half

this is only a day 1 policy and its great for long term village health. reward the contributors. punish the lurkers. and we think lurkers are wolf more often than normal. what makes it such a slam dunk this game is how its so easily split in half

its also a way to build consensus between villagers. its monitored by a neutral party (which is me, so im gving up my vote) so the results cant be manipulated.

the only sneaky potential here is if im a wolf orchestrating this because the other wolves are frequent posters (and thus we would want to target lowcount posters). its VERY unlikely there are multiple wolves posting this frequently, thus its hard for me to be a wolf

finally i admit i usually prefer to just soulread everyone and not do it so mechanlcally, but this seems like a good solution for such a stark group of low posters. hard to get reads on people who are scared to post ya know?
