I think we'll use the default yahoo rules for these brackets. It's super simple - you just fill out the bracket and choose a tie breaker for the final score of the last game.

To Keith: I didn't factor-in possible shipping costs but that makes perfect sense. I'm an e-book guy myself so I hadn't thought about the Amazon shipping.

Since this is a non-poker promotion I'd like to stick with the prizes, but we'll definitely keep this in mind for upcoming WSOP Fantasy & Poker Forum contests in the future.

Haha.. it won't be that difficult. No picks can be made yet because the matchups (bracket) won't be decided until this Sunday, March 15th. Once that happens, I imagine there will be options to edit your bracket by choosing which teams you believe will advance to the Final Four, and ultimately the NCAA Championship. Actual play in the NCAA Tournament begins on Tuesday, March 17th... so your picks will need to be submitted before then.

It's been a loooong time since I've taken any interest in college hoops. 32 years ago Jim Valvano's Wolfpack defeated my favorite team, the Houston Cougars in the Championship game on national television with that miracle shot-pass at the buzzer. I was 8 at the time and cried after the game. Clyde "Slama-Jama" Drexler, Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon and Larry Micheaux. There's a REALLY good ESPN "30 for 30" documentary on that season from N.C. State's perspective below. Still, it will be fun to pick 'em once the brackets come out, although I don't know anything about the teams anymore.

Yeah, it's a bracket for the end-of-year college basketball tournament. It's more exciting than professional basketball playoffs because it is single game elimination (pro is best of 7 series in each round).

The idea is to pick more winners than anyone else and it tends to be weighted such that each round is worth more points.

Do they have similar bracket contests for tournaments in other sports like the world cup?
