it was a link at the top of the all forums page, basically a one click way of seeing if anyone replied to my shit recently

what you're describing sucks because there doesn't appear to be an easy way to access my profile (aside from typing that url) and it doesn't appear that the page you are referring to shows whether a thread has new posts in it or not (with an icon, as before)

Basically every upgrade has made this functionality worse and worse. On the ancient version of the forum, there was a button at the top of the page that literally showed all the last threads you've posted in sorted in order of newest updated. Then the last version had downgraded that button to a smaller link which led to a page that had all the threads you've recently posted in in the order you'd posted in them (as opposed to the order that they'd received updates, the result being that sometimes someone would reply to an older thread I posted in but I never know about it because its way off the first page), and now the functionality is decreased to having to tediously go to my own profile to click the view my own posts button, which leads to a page that doesn't appear to show whether threads have been updated since last I read them.

Sounds like you had thread subscriptions - no email notifications set? They used to show up in User CP in a list

okay, idk how you crazy fucks think the full/dynamic width looks better and is easier to read than fixed, but if you prefer, the style option FTR Dynamic is there. the default version is FTR Fixed Width but you can change this on the bottom left of any page.

It actually doesn't look better with the update. But it isn't truly dynamic width like the old version. The text remains boxed in to the same sized window as fixed instead of reading across the entire page.

I don't mind the boxed test, I just really can't stand reading down a strip of posts that have this huge empty bar on either side. Thanks for the dynamic

When you're in a sub forum, it just looks cluttered. It seems to work fine but aesthetically it's like dating goldie horn whilst she did botox.

At least change the font back to Verdana please, I find Tahoma to be no more exciting a font, only harder to read.

i didn't even notice, but we'll switch this back after we do some tests. default font in vb4 must have changed, we didn't change it ourselves. it's not a super quick fix since the font is a global variable, just give us a few seconds OKAY, BANANA?

woah that's weird, my bad. there must be a max width attribute for the posts. i'll look into that.

When I click New Posts, I get this message sometimes: "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms." This is when there clearly ARE new posts since my last visit. Sometimes it DOES show the new posts, though. Halp

Ya I use the same link. The old link from the other forum works sometimes to refresh and the new one sometimes. BUt I am clicking a few times to get it to update. It also keeps showing the read posts too until it refreshes

For those who hate the new Reply to Thread button function.

You can now update your settings so the "+ Reply to Thread" button defaults to the "Advanced" option (this is how it worked in vb3). To do this, go to the general settings in your profile (link: http://www.flopturnriver.com/pokerfo...do=editoptions). At the bottom, you will see "Quick Reply mode".

• Use Forum Default: The "+Reply to Thread" button will default to the quick reply box.
• Reply button opens Advanced page: The "+Reply to Thread" button will default to advanced mode but the quick reply box will remain.
• QR disabled completely: The "+Reply to Thread" button will default to advanced mode and there will be no quick reply box at all.
