You can log in but your account balance is empty (I believe) and you can only play play money.

correct, I got addicted to play money PLO8 for 2 weeks when I logged in to change my address. log in is just like before, i still had to use my ID fob etc. balance is zero.

At one point I know you could dl the real money client from cnet and get a balance update (the option to request one isn't in play money, or gives you PM balance), but i never got around to it because everyone on 2+2 seemed to report their numbers were OK.
