LOL.... I didn't realize this was an old thread brought back to life. I started reading through it and realized it was.

DTB you're choice of the G-27 is a good one in deed. I'm a huge Glock fan and I enjoy the 40 cal. My only thought is it is such a snappy round that I find it a little harder to handle in the compact form and that is why I carry a G-26 (9mm compact). I noticed in the pictures you posted of your second trip to the range which look pretty good you seem to focus on head shots. One caveat if I can is be careful when focusing on head shots. I know you've stated you manly shoot for recreation but at the same time you are training yourself. It's important to train for center of mass. That being the largest center of mass available to you. So if you have a complete silhouette target then the center of mass would be well right in the center. You do want to put some time in with head and hip shots in case you were to ever encounter a thread which for what ever reason center of mass shots don't work, such as drug craved etc. In this case you would want to punch out the hips and take a head shot. Secondly are you initializing the the trigger reset of your Glock? Glock has a great trigger as long as you utilize the reset feature. Once you take a shot hold the trigger completely to the rear until you've reacquired your front site. Then slowly let the trigger out until and only until you feel the trigger click which will be about 1/3 back. There is no reason to let the trigger travel any further as everything within your weapon has completed it's function and all is ready to go again.
