Unless there have been some kind of exceptional enhancements in how lobster is prepared, people have tricked themselves into calling it a delicacy. I had some really expensive crab once, it was like 10x worse than a decent cold cut. Maybe the problem was I didn't cleanse my palate with the correct Chateu D'Vanderlay Goulami Cabernet
