    I agree it is a bad mindset and it's something I'm working on.

    However........from what I've read you want people to make a mistake by calling against you. If you are not charging them for draws then they are not making any mistakes are they? Now, maybe I'm charging them too much and making it way too easy for them to play correctly by folding.

    Hence my original question about my raise sizing.

    I would try to concentrate on how much value or how many streets of value you want to try to get from each of your hands instead of charging draws. Charging draws and protecting your hand is a side affect of betting for value.

    I'd fold pre, mainly because there's VERY little value to 22 when UTG unless it hits a set.

    The limp, call pre followed by a raise on the flop looks exactly like a set. He has very few draws in his hand so we can call the flop and then get aggressive on the turn after he leads into us again.
