I think Chara is very overrated anyway. They keep talking about how it's a great loss that Hamius is injured. Really? Hamius? Nashville couldn't wait to get rid of this guy.

About halfway through the season I decided I hated the slap shot, esp the one timer. They are rarely on net. The snap shot seems to be the more high % shot. I constantly keep wondering how both of these teams got in the finals to begin with. Chara in front is a good idea during the power play as long as he can redirect pucks or get the hell out of the way. Looks like he can't do either. He shields Luongo pretty good but also covers the net up and blocks shots that Luongo can't see.

I don't see how Burrows is still playing. Seriously? biting fingers.

Not real impressed with either team. Maybe they'll both kick it up a notch for Game 3. I can't really decide who I want to win. I don't like either team for different reasons.
lol @ "I constantly keep wondering how both of these teams got in the finals to begin with" ... I mean seriously?

    1) the ability to roll 4 lines almost all game
    2) depth on D
    3) great goaltending (including backup)
    4) scoring and contribution from all 4 lines
    5) great special teams
    etc...

Have you watched Hamhius play at all this year? If you say no, then your statement about him is retarded. If you say yes, it still is retarded.

Makes me super happy that we have so much depth on the back end, though. Even without Hamhuis (who has been excellent in the playoffs), we are still more than fine.

IMO Chara shouldn't be in front of the net, he should be taking shots from the point.

What has impressed me the most about the Canucks is their ability to come out on top no matter what style of game the opposing team plays. I'm so stoked that we FINALLY have a team that is capable of winning championships.

    SO FUCKING EXCITED!!!!!

I did mean so far. Both teams are sloppy so far.

I wonder why players start playing better once they are traded. Lack of job security? All ex-Predators seem to really play better once they leave. Timonen, Hartnell, Hamius, Arnott, Peverly, and others really picked up their game once they left Nashville. There are exceptions of course (Mason, Ellis) but for the most part I think this is true. I haven't followed Hamius this year except when playing vs the Predators but in those games I hadn't changed my opinion since last season.

Canucks will win the cup and probably sweep Boston but the quality of play so far seems sub par.

It probably has a lot to do with them getting to play with better linemates.

Barry Trotz deserves to win the Jack Adams Trophy for getting his team to game 6 of the second round and finishing tied for 4th in the WC with 99 pts. He did that with a group of second through fourth line forwards.

This game must be hard to watch for nucks fans

This is basically a replay of Canadiens / Bruins Game 3 oooo wait the habs scored 3 unanswered to at least make it a game.

kidding aside I'm hoping to see a pushback here by the nucks cuz they are just getting dominated

    inb4 neg reps? ;p
