I bet that if you evaluate all the times people are acting differently, yet aren't specials, it's >90%.

This is probably true simply because of the small number of special roles but I'd suggest that if you evaluate all the times people are acting differently yet make it to end game, it's < 1%. Good strategy or not, it's something that gets a lot of attention and is easy to take advantage of. After you were so active and did well the last game, it was just too much of an about face to not gain notice.

It's for the better. I will forever contend that I would have played this game exactly the same as a villager, but I'm hedging for future games. I don't want to do the same shit every time. I have non-pathological pseudo-multiple personalities. One of those personalities tends to dominate my FTR persona.
