Open HEM or PT and filter for hands that went to showdown. You may want to filter for hands where you won or lost >3bb.

Decide to do this regularly and spend at least an hour doing it and don't be checking email, chatting, surfing porn, etc. while doing it.

Use pokerstove see what kind of Equity against the range. Also open IRC if you have trouble with a hand post it in IRC.

Eventually you will get to a point to where you can sometimes know the exact hand villian has. The first time I did this felt better than actually winning the hand. I even said "BAM" out loud. Now I have to start folding more when I am pretty sure that I know what villian has. Last night I had AQo on a Axxxr board and I was pretty sure villian had AK but I called his river bet anyway.

In spoon's post about putting people on a range I whined about not being able to put people on a range because I don't know how to play poker. After he called me out for not putting in the time to learn how to and studying by reviewing HHs I decided it was time and spent about 4 hours on a Sunday afternoon doing this. You'll be surprised how much difference it makes. I do this regurlarly and spend at least 30 minutes before EVERY session doing this. If I'm too tired to do session review then I'm too tired to play a session.
