I think this is actually possible because he timed a little bit before making the move (though probably doesn't mean too much because of the amount of tables he is playing)

so if he's doing that ever with anything but a set folding here would be awful.

Seems like a spot where folding is correct in theory, much harder to do at the time though.

Any merit to just calling the flop?

im raising for value because I don't think he fill fold AK/AQ at all to me, I might even get him to call down AJ.

but I did not expect any of those hands to 3bet flop..in other words I had no plan for getting 3bet on flop
