Anyone play the Kinder Toten Nazi Zombies on Black Ops? If you ever played the old Nazi Zombies on World at War its a LOOOTTTT tougher on this one. Zombies get way harder, way faster, house is HUGE, mystery box moves very frequently, etc.
There's no set place to hold your ground vs the zombies like there was on Der Riese from WaW. Me and my buddy spent like 4 hours yesterday figuring out a strategy and eventually made it to level 13.
Strategy: (For 2 players)
- In the starting area, one player gets the two downstairs windows (the one's closest to the teleporter where you come through) and the 2nd player gets the window upstairs and the one underneath the stairs.
- Hold in the first area through the first 2 levels. Use pistol rounds SPARINGLY. DO NOT BUY A WEAPON IN THIS AREA.
-Zombies are still very weak. First round you can kill each zombie with one knife (2nd round = 2 knives, 3rd round = 3) so let them tear down the barricades, shoot each one 1-2 times (milking for points, you'll need these) and then knife. Then repair barricades for more points.
- After level 2, be prepared to hold for maybe 2 minutes then retreat to the next 2 areas. Go ahead and unload with your pistol for maximum points and utilize your knife + grenades for as long as possible before retreating. (don't use 'nades earlier because they aren't worth very many points, use only when you need to for survival purposes)
- When you are ready to retreat, go up the stairs and all the way to the right. Have the person with the least amount of points buy this door as it is only $750. Run through the door into the next room. If the mystery box isnt there (it rarely is) proceed down the hall to the next door. The person that DIDN'T buy the first door should buy this one ($1250). Go down the first flight of stairs and then go down the right side of the next set of stairs. At the bottom of the stairs buy the MP40 ($1000). (Sometimes the mystery box will be in this room as well, take advantage of it when possible.)
- Go ahead and finish off the zombies from Round 3 here. (Feel free to explore the area to get familiar with ways to run when they start overrunning you in later levels, also locate the Stakeout, the 6 round pump action shotgun.)
- To hold in this area, go to the bottom of the stairs and have one person cover the flight of stairs to the left, and the window right next to them. The other person holds the right side of the stairs and the window directly out front past the table. (Note: on the table is an automatic turret that you can activate for $1500 after you turn on the power. Should come in handy later when you're running around trying to survive.)
- Stay here until you have $1500, then go up the stairs to the right and buy the Stakeout. (Trust me, you'll want this when you get in a tight spot. It's a one shot kill up to level 13 (possibly further.))
- After you have the Stakeout and MP40, hold here until level 6 when the Dogs come. You can use either weapon for these as they are pretty weak. I recommend the MP40 unless you are out of ammo since you get more points that way(DO NOT BUY MORE AMMO FOR EITHER WEAPON, the final Dog you kill will ALWAYS drop a Max Ammo.)
- After this level, the way to play it becomes pretty variable. You can either attempt to hold here for a little bit longer before pulling back to the next room or immediately pull back. I recommend the latter since its pretty risky to stick around as the zombies in level 7 get pretty fast/strong and come in large numbers.
****This is what we've been experimenting with from here on out****
- As soon as you grab the max ammo, have the person with the most points buy the door into the next area (it will be pretty obvious). Run down the hall and turn around so you are facing the entrance to this room. Have the person with the least amount of points (after buying the door, if that makes a difference) face in that direction so you can kill the horde of zombies that will be arriving shortly and rack up points. Use the MP40 and don't be afraid to throw a grenade or 3. Don't forget about the window to the left as it can catch you off guard if you aren't expecting it.
- For the person with the most points, while your partner is holding the front of this area, you have a key role in holding the back area. There is a whole in the ceiling where zombies can drop down and a couple of windows where zombies can break through. (Don't worry about where these are at, just make sure you know that zombies can come from that general direction.) I recommend using the MP40 here when applicable, but when they drop from the ceiling you should be ready to switch to your Stakeout since a few hits will knock you down and totally fuck your partner who is likely swamped from the zombies to the front.)
- After this level, buy the next area. I recommend trying to leave 2-3 zombies left alive so you have time to look around + backtrack to look for routes to escape through. You will likely find the mystery box here. Go ahead and get it and switch out the MP40 for anything decent. (Remember the Stakeout is still useful).
- You will find the switch to activate the power in this room, however I think its best if you hold off for one level in this are if you can. The only way they can get in is through the window at the very back of the room and the door to the front. (Note: The Stinkers, (idk, thats just what we call them lol, you'll know exactly who I'm talking about once you see them in game) can climb down the walls so make sure you're looking all over.)
- After this, you're pretty much on your own. Try to find Speed Cola and Juggernaug (Sleight of Hand + More Total Health). Me and my friend think the best strategy is to try to make a complete circle by unlocking most/all of the doors and continuously run around shooting zombies while activating the auto turrets to mow them down behind you.
We still haven't had time to activate the teleports yet and I'm thinking thats one of the key things to do since you unlock the Pack-A-Punch like in Der Reise. (Upgrades your weapons.)
If you guys have any other tips, I'm all ears. I fucking LOVE Nazi Zombies lol.
Any questions?
