Default I flatted AA preflop because of SPR

SPR stands for stack to pot ratio. It tells us that certain hands are good enough to go with post-flop. I noticed since my opponent is a semi-decent shortstack running 23/15 he will probably fold preflop to a lot of my raises. However, if he flops top pair he will never be able to let it go. This is because after calling, the SPR is 4. If he misses, I pick up a cbet. Had he been deeper, say 100BB, this wouldn't make sense to do because he won't automatically play for stacks with marginal hands post-flop.

    Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    UTG ($102.50)
    MP ($110.80)
    CO ($111.70)
    Button ($34.50)
    SB ($157.20)
    Hero (BB) ($100)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A, A
3 folds, Button bets $3.50, 1 fold, Hero calls $2.50

    Flop: ($7.50) 5, Q, 3 (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $5, Hero raises to $15, Button raises to $31 (All-In), Hero calls $16

    Turn: ($69.50) 9 (2 players, 1 all-in)

    River: ($69.50) 2 (2 players, 1 all-in)

    Total pot: $69.50 | Rake: $3

    Results:
Button had 8, 8 (one pair, eights).
Hero had A, A (one pair, Aces).
    Outcome: Hero won $66.50

This is pretty much the expected result. If I had 3b, he would have probably felted 88 anyway, but folded a hand like QJ that he would play for stacks post-flop but not preflop.

I'd probably still flat because he might raise the same range from all positions
I don't have enough hands on him to say whether he's positionally aware or not, but the stacks sizes are really good for a flat

    I wonder where Spenda is?
That's how winners play; we convince the other guy he's making all the right moves.

    nh, played good.
I have edited your post so that it makes even more sense

    hint, you can ignore {acronym many of us hate} and still play the same. Hell, I would usually, but without even thinking of {acronym many of us hate}

Im opedipus bitch, the original balla.
Just a thought.. I don't have any problems with your line really. However, if you are flatting AA in this spot, then that means you are likely never 3betting in this spot. Given villains wide range, you should be 3betting a good amount of hands that will prove not only ahead of his range, but +EV because of fold equity.

what are we 3bing to like 10BB?

even if we make it $10, if he shoves that's $24.5 to call into a $61 pot so we need only 40% equity vs. his shoving range to make a call profitable
so like what hands should we really be 3b/folding?

I'd rather flat a lot and just rape him post-flop

Does the fact that iopq has AA really even matter?
