    Default rakeback

i have been reading through jyms's thread as to whats the best site and my question is:

how much money do you need to be putting though a site/ paying in rake for rakeback to become an issue?

im only playing micro limits on Stars and i kinda thought the volume of cash im paying in rake, its not much difference to me. im more interested in clearing my initial deposit bonus.

    cheers

It's not just about the rake you pay now. Signing up to any site and not having a rakeback deal will cause huge grief when you are paying enough for it to matter. There are dozens of people missing out on RB and not playing where they want because they were overzealous when signing up and depositing on newer sites. Once you sign up to another site without RB you may potentially never get it. So check with us before even attempting to register or download any other sites software.

Some people have even lost out on $1000's of dollars in RB because they took some No deposit deal for $50 free cash. Or a free PT2

i see what you mean and i understand that signing up for rakeback regardless is important if only for future benefits. ive read on here about people who didnt sign up for the FT rakeback and has cost em.

currently ive only signed up at partypoker which i left and stars. i dont think either of these offer rakeback as such?

Guilty as charged. I am the proud owner of a $1,273 copy of PT2 based on my UB "no you can't have rakeback" stats....

just googled PT2, they give you a poker video in place of rakeback??

Yeah, I made a big fish mistake with this, too. I had accounts with FT, Bodog, and Stars before learning anything about rakeback. It sucks, but I won't make the same mistake one my next site. When I hit $50NL, I'll set up another site with Rakeback, for sure.

    Hello James,

Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker.

Full Tilt does not pay players rakeback directly. There are a number of rakeback affiliates who offer players up to 27% rakeback if they sign up to Full Tilt Poker through their site.

Please note that this is not an issue which can be solved by opening another account with Full Tilt Poker, it is against our site policy to open more than one account. Though you could cease using your account, we do not remove it from our system, nor do we freeze accounts in order for players to create new ones.

However, we do value your continued support of Full Tilt Poker, and we are currently looking into organizing something that will help players who are not already attached to an affiliate. We have added your username to our files for further consideration. Please be patient.

If there's anything else we can help you with, please don't hesitate to ask.

Best of luck on the tables!

    Kind Regards,

    Rudolf

Gentlemen or Ladies I am writing in hopes of obtaining Rake Back on my account. As I understand it rack back is only available to those who sign up for a new account and request rack back. I have been playing on Full Tilt for awhile now and very much enjoy the site and my hopes are to coninue to play on Full Tilt. My problem/concern is I like many other new players had no knowledge of things such as rack back when I bagan playing on Full Tilt. Now that my knowledge and skills have increase, although the skills have increased very minimally, I want to receive rack back. I have read on many forums that if one makes a loud enough noise you have made it available. My hopes are by mearly asking you can help me out. I don't want to make a long drawn out issue of this but I am insistant that I either find a way of receiving rake back at my preferred site, Full Tilt, or I need to find a NEW site.

Please advise me as to how we can make this a win win situation for both you and I.

    Thank you,

    Jim

    I have > 3 accounts on FTP
I have at least 3 on UB (They used to be reaaaaal liberal with their deposit bonus, I don't know what it is now, but you could do that thing over and over and over)
and at least another 3 on AP/Vegas247

Note that I now play exclusively on stars.

I have 2 on FT and 2 on UB as well. Calling support is the worst thing you could do. Alerting them that you are trying to get RB when they don't give two shits whether you have it or not is never good. Get hold of rakebackpros or just start up a new account with different info, including address, email and deposit method. BE real careful if you have ever had a check mailed to your address, or having one mailed now to an address you previously used.

Ive found this thread interesting for several reasons.
the first is that I did a $50 no deposit promotion at red kings. The justification in my mind for this was that up til the time of the promotion I had been grinding up a bankroll slowly playing freerolls so that I could eventually move to playing cash games. The problem I had was that all my experience was in playing freerolls , I used the free 50$ to try entering some MTT's , played some cash tables (hopelessly underrolled), flirted with some cash omaha and tried some SNG's(think that it was only top 2 paid instead of top 3 on other sites) in order to decide which direction to head in with my own roll.Basically I tried to gain experience at some one elses expense before risking my own roll at a site I had no intention of playing again .
The second reason is that i found an affiliate site that was offering holdem manager for 50 raked hands at Titan .initially I'll be trying the 14 day free trial of holdem manager and the 60 day free trial of poker tracker3 but it did appear to be an incredibly cheap way of getting the software again with no intention of continuing to play at Titan.
