Default What kind of villain notes do you take?

I searched the forums for this, couldn't find it so i thought I'd post it here. My apologies if it does exist, I would love to read it. I think it would benefit new players and save them a lot of wasted time and confusion.

I've often read about the importance of note taking to better exploit our opponents tendency's, but haven't really found anything beyond that. So, knowing only that I should be taking notes, i started doing just that. But looking at my notes even a month later, I'm reading stuff like "checks down 77"; which is just a terrible note and says nothing about position or flop texture, bet sizing, etc, and "58s utg+1"; again, no useful information other than that player sucks.

Just today i had sort of an epiphany which all the veteran players are probably like "you didn't know that? lol". I started looking at players tendencies differently. I noticed one player would always c bet a paired flop like Q55, then check/fold the turn. I wrote it down and took down a bunch of pots. Another player would 3bet in the bb vs. btn steals a ton, but would check/fold the flop if called.

Of course it takes many hands to start seeing a pattern, which led me to my next thought... open up my database on players i play the most and write notes on them with the hand reviewer!(once again probably information veterans have had forever, but exciting for a noob like me). So what was "checks down 77" turned into "will flat call with pp ip, if she calls the flop cbet, its a set."

Anyway, I didn't mean to ramble on this long (I even deleted a paragraph or two), I meant to ask for feedback on what kind of notes you guys take. Thanks!
