    Default Electric...

So I'm sitting there in a raised pot with pocket Aces with two other players, and the flop comes King high, two low unsuited cards.

One of them leads into me (the raiser), the second one calls, and as I'm moving the slider to the right to raise them, My electricty flickers, and my computer shuts off.

So now I'm frantically trying to turn the computer back on, but the built surge protection wont allow it. I must unplug and re-plug my computer in multiple times, flipping the on/off switch like a madman as fast as I can, until finally about 2 minutes later I get it to turn on. Computer boots up I load up PS hop back on the table , the hand is long gone.

Has your online play ever been majorly affected by an electricity issue out of your control?

I could not even begin to imagine if it were a big MTT and all of your hard spent hours were wasted due to an electrical issue. Online play has all kinds of great benefits, but I'd say that this is probably the single most negative aspect of it.

    Discuss.

(I wasnt sure what forum this would go in, so I just put it here. Move it if needed)

I have also had AA folded on me during a thunderstorm. I had reraised PFR, and it was gone by the time my power came back on and my computer rebooted.....that sucked.

when i signed up for a pokerroom bonus, i sat down first thing and fired up 4 $10+1 sngs. less than 10 hands in my internet cuts out. i get it running almost 2 hours later and find out i went 4/4 ITM, with 3 3rds and a 2nd. 100% ITM and 66% ROI isnt bad for no work at all.

    GG insight broadband.

I use a laptop so power is not my issue. I have had my wireless connection crap out on me once right at the very second I got donk-villain to re-raise me while I had the nut flush and the board was not paired. Knew I had his stack but I waited a bit to make it look like I was thinking and then when I re-raised, nothing happened...the screen froze so I quickly realized I must have disconnected. So, I took my laptop and ran to a better spot in the house and reconnected. I was out for maybe 15-20 seconds but the freaking program folded my hand. It was particularly painful because I was on a real bad run and that would have been my first big win in a while. Just my luck...

I think dying during a hand probably counts as folding.

Yeah, then the results really don't matter.

What if you didn't die and were just hospitalized or something. If I was Hero in a huge pot and villian had a heart attack in mid-hand I would feel a little bad if all the money was awarded to me.

But then again I won tons of money so ba-ziiiiiiiiiing!

I'm gonna search to see if this has happened anywhere I'm curious.

It happened to Johnny Moss once, don't know if it was midhand though. He went to the hospital, they told him it was a mild heart attack and he was back at the table 4 or 5 hours later.

    No hindsight for the blind.
When I play in bed, balancing my laptop on my chest, I sometimes accidentally touch the switch that initiates the "hibernate" sequence when you close the lid. Always fun.
