5% puts him on 99+,AJs+,KQs,AKo (?), so I wasn't comfy 4Betting as I'm only 50:50 here. Thought I'd see what the flop brought...

I decided to C/R here, as he's pretty aggro and I expected a cBet. If I'd've led out and he'd 3Bet light PF, I thought he'd roll over.

Turn: ($3.34) 10 (2 players)
Hero raises to $3.50 (All-In), Button calls $2.74 (All-In)

He calls C/R, so now I reckon he's on KK+,AK (?), and we're going all the way. The 10 is a bit nasty, but I'm still 3:1 favourite vs. that range.

If he'll barrel lots of turns then just call flop. I'm guessing he had KK/or something random like AJ hence why you posted this hand, because it's played fine.

If he has a hand he's continuing to your c/r with he'll be betting the turn so you can leave his range a bit wider by c/c and letting him bluff turns/put more money in on a future street with a hand that folds to the c/r, while still getting all in vs (AK AA)

I'd call preflop btw, don't see this guy getting in very much worse to a cold 4 bet. You're going to be looking at QQ+/AK, I mean his 3 bet is only 5% and he's a passive nit. COld 4-bets are pretty much the nuts at 4NL. Think flatting pre is easily better.

also - how are u reading 'passive' from 20/15? I thought passive is characterised by a big gap between VPIP and PFR?

PFR is pretty low for 20 vpip. But mainly because he's a 5NL reg who obv isn't too crazy, isn't 3 betting wide etc. Just experience I guess.

you're probably right esp. since I never played NL4; I just assume that people playing 6-max don't fold JJ/AK ever in BTN vs. B situations, even vs. a cold 4-bet. And to make a sweeping generalization, I also assume microstakes games are more aggro than the big sites I played on that allowed U.S. players pre-BF (Americans seem to be more passive/nitty than Euros).

also at slightly higher stakes having QQ here postflop pretty much sucks vs. a decent hand-reader.

Yeah our hand is face up vs someone decent, vs this guy who cares though, doubt he has much if any ranging ability. I'd cold 4 bet/call this off in a flash at 50NL 6 max where dumbass regs jam wide as hell over 4 bets etc, at 5NL readless vs a nitty/passive looking guy it's just meh.

I think this line is fine. I like your pf call. On the flop I don't mind a c/c as well since the board is so dry and it is hard for him to have much. I'd like to know that he is decently aggressive though (AF) so that I can depend on that second barrel. Since his flop bet is so small I might miniraise here as well just to piss him off.
