Donking in the Blinds.....

    Default Donking in the Blinds.....

I'm doing A hand review of some of my hands OOP. I noticed I have donked 8% in the blinds I guess this % can be relative....

And a lot of the hands were from a couple weeks ago before I tightened my pre-fl' range up a bit. I have made almost exactly even money on my donking so I'm not sure what to think about it, or when I should really do it.

**I know when some Weak-tight's won't c-bet to be c/r'd. So if we donk and get called, we're getting value there.

    Donk into Super-Aggro's w/ strength expecting a c/r....

    Donk on wet boards v.s 40%LP opener (Q-9-3) two-tone , w value(QQ,99,33, and draws)& w/ air(A5,44,77) for balance..**

** I got this from Phil Gordon's 'Little Gold Book'

It seems like good strategy, But for me and the level I'm playing I think maybe I should just donk tights not c-betting a lot,and maybe super-aggros that may try and bully me off a hand when checked too.. and leave the rest for c/r, c/c, and c/f....

    What do you guys think????

you shouldn't ever really do it unless it's multiway with a fish involved
edit: you can force it into your game if you really want, but i think you'd be better off just working on something else. most people don't really have donking ranges.

you're probably calling too often from the blinds
you can't get check-raised if you donk bet

a few things to think about when wondering whether to donk in generall situations
do you want to donk when you think you are ahead of villain's range and he is likely to cbet his air? how about, do you want to donk with semi-bluffs? is this better than check-calling or check-raising draws? why/why not donk 99 when you flop Q94tt vs a mp raise that you called from the bb after the sb fish called?

Good, I like to hear that. I really wasn't aware I was doing it so much. It ended up being even money too.

I think responding to donks at 4nl is probably something worth a little more thought. Happens to me decently often...

    I know I can't c/r if I donk... That's what i was saying. Rather than donk, I could just c/r w/ value...
