    Default MTT noobie questions

    Edit: got rid of results.

I don't play MTT's often, but raketherake has bonus freeroll tourneys, so I've been buying into tourneys with UB points and Absolute CRED's. I have developed an ability to get into mid-tournament with +avg stack, but I fade near the bubble with M ~ 10 - 12.

I know I probably played this hand badly. Question, how do you play premium hands in this spot?

    Stacks:
    Hero (17625)
    UTG 1 (5115)
    MP (18370)
    CO (18050)
    BTN (9750)
    SB (23205)
    BB (19485)
    [all posted 75 ante]
    Blinds: 300/600

    Pre-flop: (1425, 7 players) Hero is UTG
Hero raises to 1200, UTG 1 calls 1125, 3 folds, SB calls 900, BB calls 600

    Flop: (5175, 4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets 5325

it's fine, don't post results. If people are paying attention anything but a standard raise is scary UTG, but in freerolls I would guess it's pretty close to optimal

    Edit: updates!!
I ~ avg stack 3 from ITM. I'm starting to like these MTT's...ITM!!...Final table (3rd stack)!!

Finished 6th - $25. My final table play needs some work, but I'll be in here trying to learn something. Thanks.

Preflop I raise to 1500 (2.5xBB is my standard raise by this point with your stack size). Flop I bet ~3/4 pot rather than your slight overbet.

    Thanks, that helps a lot.

My standard PF raise is 3bb.. but maybe 2.5BB on that spot with AA is the finest move. On the flop, i would have tried to induce a bluff from the blinds, betting the same amount i did preflop cause that is not a scary board.

I'd like to post a hand too:

EP opener is playing a ton of pots, noticet he 8xBB raise is different than his standard though. The shover hasn't even sniffed being in a pot, we're like 1k ppl from the money in the Sunday crapshoot:

Wow. I would have trouble folding AK here (only two hands dominate it - how tight could the range be?), but I'm the noobie here.

I think a fold is fine. I think a call is not horrible - but it's more of a gamble.

This is a fold especially with the payout structure of the Sunday lottery. I'd shove QQ+ here. AK doesn't have that good of equity in 3-way preflop allins.
