 Full Tilt Poker weekly update 7/17/2012
1) Nothing newsworthy in regards to PokerStars purchasing Full Tilt.
2) There was a tweet last week however, posted on 2p2 that said the deal was off. It claimed that Stars didn't actually want to complete the deal but just make sure GBT did not buy Full Tilt and revive the poker company. Although the tweeter, James Barnes, seems to have a good reputation, it seems he was misinformed. There are retweets on Eric Hollreiser's Twitter account (head of corp. communication at PokerStars) that say that it is simply not true and they are still negotiating. The thread was quickly closed but caused quite a stir.
