    Default SNE from February

You know what, I have no serious obligations. And you know what, poker ain't gonna be around forever. And you know what, I could play a few extra hours/day of poker this year. And you know what, if I do that, I'll make a buttload of money because I'll make supernova elite.

    I'm going for it.

Looks like it's gonna take around 7k hands/day, every goddamn day. I can do that.

Gimme input people: I don't wanna be spending 20 minutes on every post, but I'd like to keep you all updated. What sort of things should I be writing in here?

I recommend updating this thread every day with vpp and hands played stats. Do the math on what pace you are on and figure out whether you are ahead or behind pace.

Moving to 200nl to do this?

    You are mental. Good luck!

So I got my first day of SNE chasing, and yep, I'm moving up to 200nl for this... been there before (but had to move back down after withdrawing), but again I'm reminded that preflop is a bunch more agressive, and I can expect a little bit more agression postflop too... nothing too crazy, but still.

So today I played 7545 hands, a little less than I hoped but I spent the evening with a girl I'm interested in, and that's well worth a few dollars/FPPs.

I currently have 43,327 VPPs. Waaaaay behind SNE pace... but that's to be expected since I wasn't shooting for it until today. I really think I can do it =]

I went snowboarding in the morning, my lil bro's getting pretty good! Then I got my ass on the poker grinding, and now it's time for a beer and a movie. Oh and I ran hot for my first 12k hands at 200nl - 2 ptbb EV, but 3.5ptbb actual. Nice!

    Seriously, life is good.

Today was pretty frustrating, I ate a lot of KK<AA, a few 'oh he decided to float oop in a 3bet pot with one overcard and he hit it on the turn', and a few dissapointing poorly played hands. So I ended up down half a buyin after all that playing.

Actually, I don't feel too bad about it. I ran good to start, so it's ok to have a breakeven stretch =]

Damn, did pretty well today (+3 stacks) until the last 1/2 hour of my session where I got coolered in 6 medium hands in a row, bringing me down to just 1 buyin for the day. Sux ;[

In other news, I have decided that I'm a nit and need a coach to help me stop being a nit. Any suggestions?

OK, so I had 2 days off :/ One was to go snowboarding with the girl i mentioned earlier then go to a going-away party for a friend of mine (I'd promised to go before I decided to try for SNE), and the next was because I was hung over from the going-away party. I actually playeed, like 2k hands, but I played bad. VPPs are not worth -EV playtime.

So lesson learned is, no more than 3-4 drinks in a night for the rest of the year. Wow.

And today I played a good chunk, got up 3 stacks, took a break, came back, and lost it all in a ~400 hand downswing. This business is frustrating ;[ Oh well, I know that sort of thing can happen in poker, and I contacted a coach from DC so hopefully my play will improve and I'll start making money more regularly.

    10065 hands today (1563 yesterday)
    59,504 VPPs total

If I were going for SNE... I'd def incorporate some shortstacking play doing those times I was too drunk to play well. You need hands... gl gogogo
So you click their picture and then you get their money?

wow that SUCKED... I just ate cooler after cooler after cooler. Every time I thought to myself, "OMFG what a gin card, OMFG he called!!! I'm gonna make a stack, I love money!!" I finished the hand by saying "Jesus fuck I can't BELIEVE he played those cards preflop, I can't BELIEVE he continued on the flop, and I can't BELIEVE he has a better hand than mine! Oh and btw I lose a stack." And pretty much all against huge donkeys =[

I was gonna post a few of the hands just to whine about the cooler factor, but I think I've just done more than enough of that.

5265 hands today, which is enough considering my tilt
    61,533 VPPs total

literally my worst poker day ever =[
this SNE chase is not starting well... I'm seriously considering dropping out and jsut focusing of improving to the point where I can play 2/4+ next year and try it then.

Give it some more time. If you are feeling the same way in a week or so then I would drop it then. The coolers will end, the coaching will help, things always turn around.

Not bad. Plan on going to the casino sometime this week. Been partying most of the time here. Only played one serious session.

k, played 5k hands/day lately, did a bunch of snowboarding, so far am more happy with my life. I may potentially be changing my mind on this sne thing.

    Just another grim statistic...
