Ok, lets say im on the button with AJ,AT,KQ,KJ,KT,QJ,or QT. I have this questionable theory that if any number amount of players have only limped in before me. I can raise and either still all the ante money OR If a player decides to call my raise and we go the flop HEADS UP say with KJ, and the flop comes Q,T,5. Since how im in late position agaisnt my opponent and showed aggression. My opponent will normally check to me and I can bet half the pot and he either will fold and once again I take down the pot or he can call and lets pretend on the turn I hit...great I can bet now all the way to show my straight OR the turn is no help. He will probably* check to me again on the turn where now I can check to give myself pot odds for drawing to my straight because I bet half the pot on flop (for example $5 into $10,with him calling made me realy call $5 into 15 which is equal to 3:1 pot odds or 25%, and I have 8 outs for a open ended straight on flop which equals 32% chance of hitting to the river) Which is why I will check the turn and see my free card now hoping to hit on the river...My question is if you can understand all this is do you think this would be very profitable in a no limit ring game. Obviously I couldnt do it in a tournament with a limited stack. but in a ring game it jsut seems like from the moment i raise I have I have an opportunity to take down the pot or simply give my self pot odds to chase to the river and hit

Raising/betting to give yourself pot odds is better applied to limit. All your opponent needs to do is check raise you or come over the top to cripple your pot odds in NL.

You are thinking along the correct lines when you see that you were pre-flop aggressor and opponent showed weakness on flop. Keep the initiative by semi bluffing.

Semi bluff is a fine play in the situation you describe because you give yourself 2 chances to win: He folds to your bet or you make a powerful hand later. Sometimes you may also want to take the free card that he is giving you.

One thing to be careful of is the check raise. If your opponent hit a big hand like a set and he knows you raised preflop and are likely to fire again on the flop, he will set you up in a similar fashion, so you might want to take the free card.

Finally, you are missing a lot of opportunities by junking this play in tournament situations.
