A new tool for equity calculations
(Let me preface this: I'm not associated with anyone who has anything to do with this software in any way. I just found it while trolling on another forum. I think it's cool and useful.)
I found a great piece of software that rivals the stove, but with greater functionality. It's called Equilab, it's a free download, and I'm sure you can find it with a google search.
The range selection page has a ridiculously greater amount of choices for inputting a range. There are a bunch of lists of suggested opening ranges for various positions, from various authors. Also, you can store your own "unique" ranges for quick use later.
You can select and leave 'permanent' ranges on villains, which you turn on or off for each hand with a check box. Brilliant!
I don't see any issues other than that it takes a second or so longer than the stove to load.
Has anybody else here used this yet? Do you have any thoughts? As of now, I may never stove again.
Is it OK for me to leave a link? I will add it in a later post if it's not against the rules.
