Folding QQ preflop?

    Default Folding QQ preflop?

    Everytime I get QQ i lose. I bet on the flop, get put all in (with only undercards on the board), I call the all in, and have the guy dominated. Then he catches 2 pair, trips, runner runner flush, etc.

    Would I be better off just folding this hand preflop? i know it sounds like a dumb question, but had I not been playing QQ for the past 2 weeks I would be up $100 (at least), but instead I lose 8/10 i play it.

    the fact that your QQ has been receiving a beating lately is absolutely no reason to just stop playing it. this is called being "results oriented" and is completely counter-productive to poker development. i think there are a couple of threads in the beginner's digest which can elaborate on this concept far better than i've described it here (i think one is called "poker is totally mathematical"). i'd advise reading them. good luck.

    edit: here are some good threads which at least touch on the topic, to be honest i'd advise reading every thread in the digest if you have any long-term poker goals at all.

    we all should be like that. it's great that villain got a 2outer, that means he will also pay us the rest of 8 times when he doesnt get his 2outer and that's good that's +EV for us and i like that
