Default How do you generally play with Kings pre flop?

I realize that this question might be too general, but since I do not have any specific hand now in mind, this is the best I can do for the moment.

Assuming that villain is a complete unknown, with no stats on him whatsoever (or at least none that would matter). Playing NL100. You've got pocket aces, and are out of position against villain, with KK. You make a raise, and he re-raises.

Do you generally just call and continue on the flop, or prefer to shove right there? Again, we're assuming villain is a complete unknown.

    Thanks in advance.

I'm confused, if we have AA, how do we know villain has KK? And if we know he has KK, surely we shove?
