10/45 is a fair estimation because you think he has a straight of flush (don't forget quad outs and you can remove his straightening card from the deck), so you need exactly 3.5:1 to call. He makes our life easy by betting pot, so you know you get 2:1. You need to make 1.5*$1.38 otr, or about half pot to break even You can safely assume that he will almost never fold whatever he has. This is a super easy call on the turn. Good fold on the river.
You can just remember that if you have 10-ish outs and you face a pot size bet on the turn: if you can make more than half the pot on the river on average when you improve, you can always call profitably.
