hypothetical hand
I was analysing what I would do in certain random imaginary situations and I thought it might be interesting to post one here and see what you guys think.
So: 6max (low stake), stacks of 100BB, hero is UTG with , villain is a spewy LAG who I've seen 3betting almost every time pf. He's playing agressively pre- and postflop.
PF: Raise to 4xBB, (AJ I play UTG if it's suited, it's probably the bottom of my range) He 3bets to 10xBB, (I call thinking we're still miles ahead of his 3Bing range, but what obv concerns me is that this means we're playing OOP against an agressive opponant)
Q: How important is the fact that we're OOP here?
Now this would be the plan for Postflop:
1) We hit something like
Let's say his CBet on flop is pretty high (like 80%). Now we probably c/C this flop, but that brings another problem: what do we do when he bet's the turn again. Ofcourse we first check for Cbet T stats, but let's say we don't have any. If he bet's small we can probably call another street seen his image but if he makes a normal sized bet on the turn I'm probably folding.
2) We hit
OOP and against this villain I would probably c/C flop,c/C turn* and b river.
If he checks the flop behind I'm betting turn and river.
*maybe a turnbet is better even if he bets the flop, but since he's spewy I feel like we can get more value from him on the river if we check now+ there's a good chance he will bet anyway.
So that was my simple hand I was thinking about. I know any real ranges are missing but my point was just to show what I was thinking about a minute ago and see what you guys think. I hope you disagree then we might both learn something.
