I don't see how even this whale can have any bluffs in his range here. I'd probably go ahead and fold given he likely wont value bet a worse diamond here given his passive line so far, especially when the board pairs. There's just nothing we beat.

U sure carrot man? someone like this would vb a king here a bunch no? like...i think there are more kx hands than Adx hands that he could have and even if hes slowplaying sets he could also then be slowplaying straights or weaker flushes. I think we have to be good here the 27% of the time we need to be.

With these guys that are playing every hand you should really try to pay attention to them- Because they're playing way too many hands, and often going to showdown way too much, you can often get pretty solid postflop reads really quickly, and they can really help you out in a bunch of really profitable spots.

As for the hand itself, I don't see many Kx combos (other than boats) at all, but I can certainly imagine a villain that's calling along with pair+diamond and hits a 9 high flush (or hell, a 6high flush) and is like "BOOM I GOT DA FLUSH". We only need 27% to call, really tough without reads, but if it was me on the table I tend to call here, 'cause I don't believe it to be too large of a mistake, and the information gained from showdown should allow us to get our money back from the whale fairly quickly.

well this is embarrassing i just noticed op has the Q of diamonds. Villains line looks like a flopped set that's to scared of the diamonds to raise or a flopped flush draw so this is not as easy of a fold as i first thought but i would still fold here seriously how often is betting something that we beat. Can't see him betting a ten of diamonds on this board. He likely has the nut flush or a boat. If i call here it is for info but i really think the call is -ev

Intuitively I call this. Would like to play around with ranges and see where I end up, but in the heat of battle I call.

I don't see villain with JJ+, so TT and worse pairs with a D are def in his range, and I think he'd raise thinking you don't have the D as you bets could easily be someone who does;t want to see a 4th diamond but whats to extract value. Plus many K?Xd hands.

Will play around with ranges more thoroughly later.

But as said above, if a call is -ev, I don't think it's crazy -ev.

i have that same leak sometimes i make knee jerk calls that i would never make if i stopped and thought about it for a couple secs. like when i have 2 small pair on a board with say a pair of 4s. I say well i doubt villain has a 4 so i mash call before my brain can say but yea he raised pf and from ep so he likely has a big pocket pair counterfeiting my hand

Any notes about hands he showed down with?
is he passive or looked bluffy?

Barring more information, I snap this pretty quick.

Did you get the opportunity to see some of his hands at the showdown? These kind of players usually don't bluff so if he bets the river, I am almost sure he has something but does he have Ax or KJ/K7/K8?

    +1

Really not going to fold here, against this player.

how can you guys ever consider folding here?

Villains range is wider than stax's mom and he could easily be vbetting a worse diamond or running some retarded bluff with some stupid pair he's calling down with.

i would never ever ever fold at 10nl against 86vpip player. he only beats oyu with Ad but i think hes like omg i have teh flush finally, im gonna bet cos i have 5 cards with the same color. (no matter if he has like 3d, hes is betting everything i guess)

villain is probably calling flop and turn as light any J with a diamond. obviously we can't raise for value but i think he will show down worse diamonds often enough. or he could even have a decent amount of air in his range. i know when i first started playing poker i used to jam every 4flush board i could "coz i was trying to represent a flush"
