honestly seems like he was trying to push you out of the pot. I would say he was putting you on a Ax hand range and therefore he thought you missed the flop big. With the turn card being a rag he probably figured his best move here was either calling and showing weakness or raising you a huge amount to really make you think about what he could have.

I wasn't at the table so I don't know what you were feeling at the time, but it seems to me you should have made a bigger bet on the flop instead of giving the impression that you were just following through with a continuation. if he had called there and the turn card came the way it did I would have did it again, had he moved all-in here... then I may have put him on a much tighter range.

deffinitly a scary situation and any time a player goes all-in at a cash game for way more then the pot is worth it's always a stop and think for me.
