Adjusting from tournament strategy to ring games?

    In a ring game, if you have 51% equity against your opponent's range, you try to put all your chips in the middle and you hope that your opponent calls because that makes you money in the long run.

    In a tournament, if you have 51% equity against your opponent's range, you try not to put all your chips in the middle and you hope that your opponent folds because you don't want 49% chance of loosing a big chunk of your stack.

    Books, in this order: No limit hold'em theory and practice, Professional No Limit and Spoon always recommends Small Stakes Hold'em but I have not read that one
