3 Questionable spots 5NL
This first one was a little weird. Villain was 32/32 over 15 hands or so, hadn't really seen him showdown anything though.
Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (6 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com
UTG ($4.11)
MP ($3.65)
CO ($5.07)
Button ($4.93)
Hero (SB) ($7.55)
BB ($5.90)
Preflop: Hero is SB with A , Q
2 folds, CO bets $0.15, Button calls $0.15, Hero calls $0.13, 1 fold
Flop: ($0.50) J , 8 , A (3 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $0.30, Button calls $0.30, Hero calls $0.30
I just called on the flop because I was putting him on A9+ which included the J and so I thought maybe he would reshove if I raised.
Turn: ($1.40) 8 (3 players)
Hero bets $0.80, CO calls $0.80, Button calls $0.80
I decided to bet this as the spades flush was not completed and I had by this time decided that he was probably on an AT or AQ like me.
River: ($3.80) Q (3 players)
Hero bets $2, CO raises to $3.82 (All-In), 1 fold, Hero calls $1.82
I thought this was a good card and thought that maybe he actually might have AJ and I could get value from that, or an AT hand. When he insta-shoved I was almost positive that he had AQ as it was the first real aggression I had seen him show this hand. Sadly I was wrong.
Total pot: $11.44
Hand 2 and 3 are very similar spots
Villain was unknown to me though he ran 33/33 over the following 10 hands or so I was at the table.
Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (6 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com
SB ($6.06)
BB ($7.43)
UTG ($5)
MP ($5.05)
CO ($2.56)
Hero (Button) ($5.46)
Preflop: Hero is Button with 9 , 9
2 folds, CO calls $0.05, Hero bets $0.25, SB raises to $0.75, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.50
I called mostly for set value though I'm not sure why seeing as I haven't hit a set in over 2500 hands.
Flop: ($1.60) 5 , 6 , 8 (2 players)
SB bets $1, Hero calls $1
This call was pretty dumb but I just didn't really know what to do.
Turn: ($3.60) J (2 players)
SB bets $4.31 (All-In), Hero folds
Total pot: $3.60
Hand 3: Almost identical to hand 2 except this villain was 28/24 over 80+ hands.
Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (6 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com
CO ($5)
Button ($11.21)
SB ($2.25)
BB ($10.86)
Hero (UTG) ($5.05)
MP ($5)
Preflop: Hero is UTG with 10 , 10
Hero bets $0.20, 4 folds, BB raises to $0.62, Hero calls $0.42
Once again I called thinking about set value as I was putting him on AQs+ and JJ+
Flop: ($1.26) 3 , 4 , 9 (2 players)
BB bets $0.10, Hero calls $0.10
Sure this bet seemed weak, but it was so uncharacteristic of this player that I thought it might be a bet to trap me into raising vs a KK AA type hand. Although he may have had AK in this spot. Once again I wasn't sure what to do.
Turn: ($1.46) A (2 players)
BB bets $1.46, Hero folds
Might be kind of a bluffy bet since it was an insta pot bet as soon as the A showed but then again I just don't see how I am beating anything in his range at this point. It would have been interesting if I had raised on the turn to $1ish to see what he did.
Total pot: $1.46
These are a few spots where in the past I might have stacked off but I'm just not really sure how to play them.
