Default A 10 not suited analysis.

    Hi there

I have a question about a hand I was playing yesterday and want to ask if i played this correctly. I had about 1000 chips left in the sit and go and it was 7 handed. Everybody folded but me and another player.

I got Ace - ten off suit and raised about 3 BB or 300 and it was called immediately. The board came Ace of heart, Jack diamond and 10 diamond. I went all in against this player which I thought to be a bit aggressive and he called with 8 7 suited.

I lost to him because he got the 9 in the river and it was straight. I am just wondering if I played this correctly or I should have done something else or it was just a bad beat. I got a calculator that says I had 83 % winning against the opponent.

    Best Regards

With a high double pair you're most likely to win, but 20% lose chance is a 1/5 and should not give you any security. Going AI with JT on the table may not be the most secure but most probably i'd be doing it if I was last to act as a reraise.

Other than that it was mostly bad luck

This maybe better suited for the SnG section. It also would be good to know the buy in amount. It would also be good to know oppennents stack size. 100BB with 7 players in a SnG should mean a few players are super short. I would say this should be shove or fold preflop but with 7 players and other unknown info can't fully give advice.

    Leads to a lock.

Prob should have shoved preflop. As far as flop you have 700 chips, and the pot is approx 750, there is no way you can fold with two pair.
