Was I too nitty here?. My reasoning was based on a hand from the other night which was almost an identical flop , which had been raised to a $2.10 pot 3 way preflop ,I lead $2 and was minraised , I shoved and he called with KK . Which has led me to thinking about the way I played that hand over the last couple of days.
Basically , I thought that hands likely to call a 3 bet are QQ,KK AA and AK. my AA makes AA unlikely for villain and act as blockers for AK. I'm losing to QQ and KK and would beat JJ if he had it. I was wary as soon as the QK came on the flop and was thinking to check call it down if I could cheaply. His $0.50 on the flop made me wonder whether he had JJ or QQand i called hoping to see an A on the turn. His $2 bet decided it for me.
    Is my logic correct here.?
Should i have raised his flop bet to $1.50 and folded to a reraise?
was the preflop 3bet too small?

How often does he donk bet?

    Raise/fold>folding>calling I suppose...then again if he's that passive he likely isn't semi-bluffing, so calling can't be terrible i guess.

I bet on the flop for value
AK, AQ are probably in his 3bet calling range
could get some value form that
I would expect that villain would have at least 4bet KK
If he re raised the flop or turn I would get worried about
    QQ or KQ.
I stack off on this board with AA anyways
maybe that's why i am down right now

    you best be joking me
lead the flop, lead the turn and go broke
he can't call with AK preflop and expect to fold post-flop when he hits

what range would you guys allocate to him calling the 3bet with. The range i put him on was hit very hard by the flop with me losing to a whole lot of it.I thought my 3bet was enough to price out set mining (although it could be borderline) but small enough to allow worse hands to continue. Is my laggy image likely to make him open up his range a lot here?

fold to 3-bet% -> extend the range that gives you by at least 100% because he's IP and last to act PF.

that was 0% but only had 41 hands on him and the number of 3bets were probably extremely low so its not exactly a reliable number

    stealing blinds from UTG
First of all, against your villains range, which is waaaay too tight (QQ-KK, AK) you are ahead 50% of the time. Do you see why? 3 combos of QQ, 3 of KK, and 6 of AK. Even in the worst case scenario(your range) you are not making a mistake going broke with this one.
Its amazing how a hand we played could affect our thinking when we find ourselves in a similar situation. The thing is...it shouldnt. I think if you look at this HH some time later on after forgetting the previous hand, youll have no doubt you should have put all your money in there.
