Default Limit hold em - are the computers dealing really random?

OK, here's the deal. Some guy, whom was on a table of eight on the online game, is raising his $3K chips at all in, at every occasion. People kept folding, and when there was no folding, on the the turn, river and river card, he kept on winning, losing only once. Anyway, he then gets to 20K, and calls all in when he has just a queen and seven. Everybody folds, yet again, but I call him with my $12K with two kings... So what happens, he gets both a queen in the turn and seven on the river. That was insane. I didn't want to go all in, as I had a suspicion such a thing was going to happen, but surely not with the hand I had, and considering, he kept on winning like this so many times, it had to end. Anyway, are these computers which deal out the cards really random, or do they deliberately favour those that have a high number of chips....?

This sounds like a NL tournament, not LHE, that you were playing, but that's alright.

Imagine that in this tournament (freeroll or low buyin) where there are dozens or even hundreds of maniacs playing like this. Most of them will bust out on the first hand, some will double up once or twice before losing it all. And a couple really lucky ones will keep winning even longer.

The deck isn't rigged against anyone, computers can make pretty random sets of cards. Part of being random is that there will be rushes and coolers like you experienced. If these things were *not* happening once in a while, then it would be more likely that the cards aren't truly random.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

In the batter's box. Already 0-1 count....
Let's keep in mind that the random card generator is action enduced. This is to get us to put money into a pot that we think we will win. At times, things don't go our way and we lose said pot. It happens both ways, just keep that in mind.

OK, here's the deal. I play mostly live poker (I use low-stakes online play to practice for my live games, but I profit playing live). On more than one occasion, I have sat at a poker table while a maniac throws his chips into the pot, over and over again. And then he catches some miracle card and takes down the pot. Now was the live dealer dealing non-randomly?

Seriously, poker is full of variance. If you flip a coin enough, you'll come upon a stretch of 10 heads in a row. That doesn't mean the coin is loaded.
