Is this okay in both cases? I feel like the shove was an overbet in the second one, and I generally suck at playing PP so any help is appreciated.

FWIW, I'm not that good and am working extremely hard to get better at this game, so any advice you guys can give will help tremendously.

Also, my BR is at $350 and I was wondering when is a good time to move up to $10NL. Advice?

Both hands are excellant spots to get it in and be fist pumping.

You are comfortably rolled for 10nl (usually you want 25 buy ins). I would move up when you feel like your ready ie have a good winrate at 5nl and are confident in your play and you'll do fine at 10nl.

The first call I somewhat like. About 40bb to call into about 75bb bot and you know he doesn't have anything more to bet with it's an easy call considering his maniac tendencies as you described. He might have a monster, then it might be a pure bluff also.
On the second hand. Well opponent obviously has something better than overpair, and an overpair is definately not something I would go broke with a hand where I may loose more than 100bb.
The difference in my opinions between the two scenarios are stack sizes. I usually wouldn't call in this situation at all without any reads. Why would someone limp, cold call pf with anything else than a low-medium pocket pair. In most cases people are hoping you have an overpair and will pay them off when they shove.
I would even fold aces here, because it makes no difference really. If he had a higher pocket pair he would most likely reraise you pf anyways.

It's the right play both times. His stack is puny compared to yours, so you're not in any real risk. You have +EV in both hands.

Move up. You can easily afford a 10BI down swing and still play within your roll. If you feel like you're not doing as well, just drop back down.

Jovar, about the 2nd hand, I don't think we can say he "obv" has something better than an overpair. He did the exact same thing on the hand before with air, and is playing every hand rather aggressively.

This guy is a total donk, and you need to stay at the table with him as long as possible and ride out the swings. In a 2-way, I would take this guy to the river EVERY SINGLE TIME with 2nd pair.
