Firstly, I would most probably raise this one preflop with your stack size. The problem with limping is that you can only call a raise and have odds to play for set value if one of the big stacks raises (as they did).

On the flop, why bet here? What are you hoping to achieve with your bet? Why not just try to check it down (calling if the microstack goes AI of course)? On the turn, once you hit your set, I bet more. What's the point of betting less than 1/5 of the pot? Opp will never fold and if he's going to call with a worse hand, why not bet more?

On the river, you should have built up the pot sufficiently on the flop and turn to shove here without it being an overbet. As played, I call the shove too, there are a lot of other hands that you beat that might play like this, particularly considering your weak bets up to this point.

I can see a reason to bet this flop, it is a relatively good flop for us and if you get the big stack with 2 overs to fold and isolate vs shorty you are in good shape

thanks , i knew i played it poorly especially on the turn. on the flop i bet because i was pretty sure captain shifty was going to bet anything and instead of check calling, i thought i would bet get some FE and isolate the small stack. this was probably still the wrong play appreciate the imput thanks again
