I really think I should have just flat called the river, I know that was a mistake, and I should have definitely bet more on the flop with the flush draw out there, anything else?

Hand 1 seems standard, though be careful with KJ.

Nothing more to add to your own assessment of hand 2:

Hand 1:
Pretty ok. You are preflop aggressor and c-betting with air on a board that's pretty good for cbetting (so be ready to fold if anyone continues in the hand and you don't turn a K or c). KJo should be fine to play from the BTN with one limper most of the time. Only somewhat questionable thing is to decide to c-bet multiway, and if you are adjusting bet sizes to flop texture I could see a slightly smaller $0.23 or so as there is only the flush draw out there and you have the Kc as a blocker.

Hand 2:
On the flop you could ask yourself - I have an overpair - which hands will pay me off? The immediate answer is AT for TPTK. So bet big on the flop to make any hand with a T pay you off on the flop for the maximum, and to make anyone with a flush draw make a big mistake instead of a small one by calling.

You don't want to push your opponent to play correctly (by overbetting the pot if he has a flush draw and forcing him to make a correct fold) - but you do want to extract value from Tx hands. I think a full pot sized bet around $0.39 would be in order - $0.40 and $0.35 both work if you like round numbers. Any T will still call you, and I think a T is what you want to play against here.

On the turn only someone holding 5x improved, you are most likely still ahead and a value bet is fine. Bet size good.

On the river the flush and the A4 straights both complete and aside from those you are also behind any 22, 33, TT and 5x hand. While that makes your hand strength relative to the board middling to the extent that a call is possibly correct, it's worth discounting some of the above hands if the opponent is not a complete calling station. If he's a passive calling station then yes - call.

What he makes is sized like a blocking bet - he could have a hand with showdown value which he doesn't want to pay too much for to see a showdown, but he's afraid you're going to bet big again and he wants to keep it small. This is a possible play with TPTK and JJ, QQ type hands.

Or it could be a suck bet to get you to commit your last chips when he's holding any flush, 5x or better.

Vs. the right type of opponent I don't hate a raise, but there was nothing wrong with just calling there.
