    Default sweat sessions

I've met some guys on CR who are willing to sweat some sessions with me and have me sweat them

thing is I'm not quite sure what we actually do during these sessions ^^. and do we need camtasia or anything cuz I'm like... confused

so, what's the purpose of these, what am I supposed to do during these, and what do I need to be able to sweat someone/have someone sweat me
My blog/operation where ill gladly discuss all my poker thoughts/hands etc, all welcome: http://www.flopturnriver.com/pokerfo...os-192003.html

They'll probably tell you to download "Teamviewer" and some sort of voice communication software, such as "Skype" or "Ventrilo" (as it's easier to talk than type it all out).

Teamviewer is a free download and what it does is allow either you to see what they see on their computer (aka you sweating them) or them see exactly what you are doing on your computer (aka them sweating you). So either you can see their hands and their movements and you sit back and ask them questions and they talk through why they are making a play, or they see you play and ask you why you did something or tell you to make a certain play and tell you why etc.

So you either play poker and get your playing critiqued, or you watch them play poker and ask questions. But make sure you ask questions on everything. Not just the hand you see. If you see them check, find out why, but also say "Okay, but with this hand would you have bet?" or "Would you have even checked here witht his?"..

    It'll help a good bit.

I don't have a MIC so couldn't partake in my sweat session which was scheduled with a forum regular. My advice would be to get a mic if you don't already have one.

I rarely have access to a mic but talking on AIM, MSN, etc. should still work. It's definitely not as good as a mic though.

I play 6max 50 and 100nl if any one is interested in sweating me sometime. Just PM me I guess. I'm on vacation now though.

While aim/msn etc is a viable option it definately fails in comparision to a mic. When you, or they, are playing multiple tables it just so much easier saying yeah I'm doing this and this because of this, than typing it all out etc. Sometimes hard to type at times while multiplaying but just talking isn't that hard as you are just pretty much thinking outloud.

Try to get a mic if you can (if you don't have one). Alot more people would allow you to sweat them (or vice versa) if you have one imo.

would using a mic and a cam via skype work? obviously not the build in cam on my laptop, but a cam positioned over my shoulder and able to view both screens? thoughts?

Teamviewer would be a loooot easier would it not? Am I missing something? A mic with skype is sweet, yes.

teamviewer may be problematic if I'm 15-20 tabling across two monitors - then again, same problem with a cam I guess...
yep, I think teamviewer > skype for the image part of the game, skype best for the talking

Never heard of sweating before but looks like it could be a godsend. I shall look into it, certainly.
