Default 200NL: queens, maniac, bad board

Villain had shown some restraint postflop lately, giving me a bit of respect, folded to a 3bet of mine -- but didn't stop betting into a lot of flops, & three bet a few also.

was running 75/9 over like 30. Folded to 25% of flops.

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (5 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    MP ($206.15)
    Hero ($403.35)
    SB ($183)
    BB ($195.10)
    UTG ($237.65)

Preflop: Hero is Button with Q, Q.
UTG calls $2, 1 fold, Hero raises to $10, 2 folds, UTG calls $8.

    Flop: ($23) 8, 9, 7 (2 players)
UTG bets $10, Hero raises to $36, UTG raises to $72, Hero ...?

At this point I figure his range is sets, 2pr, pair+draw, TT+, 2overs + FD, top pair kinda hands. I've seen him call down light, but this kinda aggression is something I think he'd reserve for stronger than 2nd pair hands...

Allin. There are so many hands in his range you beat that folding would be a crime.
My sig is too much for you to handle.

Pretty much if you raise the flop here you're wanting to get it in.

I would flat because the turn card will have a huge impact on your equity.

Read his range against the turn card and his bet size, then make a decision in a spot where I'm more likely to have a real edge to push. On a lot of turns I'm betting/raising the full pot.

This fascinates me immensely senior 'nord...

do you often play these draw heavy boards slow like this vs all villains, or just ones with massive ranges?

Do you mean calling villains lead or his 3bet?

The two bolded statements seem contradictionary to me. Not sure what you think his range is by now, but I assume we agree that at least any 6, J and heart is a scare card for us....which is 19 cards (it's of course a bit less if we manage to take villains range into consideration, but that's pretty tough to do on the fly). And T's,5's, aren't that great either....and are 7's, 8's, 9's really? (I guess so)

It doesn't seem like we're going to see that many turn cards what we can pot and be very confident about our equity edge?

    His lead.

The money behind really drives this line, with less money behind I just get it in on the flop.

everything fnord has said is accurate and standard. stop autoraising flops with OK hands.
My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

It's really the board texture that makes this an OK hand vs this villain, right? If we had a Txx / Jxx mono/two tone board we're a lot more comfortable getting it in on the flop?

...when the money is deep (high SPR on the flop.)
